Perry is a high-performing experienced independent corporate director with proven cross-sector expertise in marketing innovation, corporate success in the pharmaceutical, financial services, retail, QSR, and consumer packaged goods sectors with such companies as Pfizer, Safeco, General Mills, Target, Lincoln Financial Corporation, Irwin Mortgage Corporation, Swiss Re and Imasco.

He excels at transformational change for mature or struggling brands, new product development, creative and digital strategies and connecting the dots for strategic success. He has developed enterprise strategies, built global marketing organizations and brands and led transformational change for Fortune 250 and small cap companies, including foreign-owned entities. His skills in developing leaders have led to impressive corporate achievements and substantial board contributions. Additionally, he has more than 20 years' experience in serving on national and regional non-profit boards, including leading universities and more recently, a $2 billion publicly traded financial services corporate board.

He has served on the following local and national boards of directors: Indianapolis Plan 2020; Indianapolis Urban League; Indiana Youth Institute; Indiana History Museum, Indiana Humanities, University of Minnesota’s Alumni Advisory Board; Western Kentucky University President’s Advisory Board; Boy Scouts of America Crossroads Council; Indianapolis Visit Indy Music Crossroads Board; Heartland Film Festival, Madame C.J. Walker Theatre, Indianapolis Zoo, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Coalition of Homelessness Intervention & Prevention (CHIP) and Central Indiana Youth for Christ.

He has achieved many honors including Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40; Who’s Who in Black Indianapolis and one of 25 community/civic leaders honored by the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis. Perry is an Eagle Scout who served as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 202, Carmel, Indiana.

Perry has spoken at many marketing, non-profit or strategic planning conferences throughout the U.S. He is also the author of the Mortgage section of The World’s Leading Chief Marketing Officers, Edition 2005, page 421; Marketing in the Mortgage Industry.
